It wasn't a big scheme. DD gets bigger ratings than most broadcast network shows. They didn't need to do s**t to get bigger ratings.
A&E just did what most companies/orgs do when the queers cry. No conspiracy needed. Have you been awake the last several years? How do you not see that this same scenario has played out a thousand times with the far left Nazis demanding repercussions over someones free speech.

My contention is A&E knew all along Phil Robertson’s religious beliefs. They didn’t care. Duck Dynasty made too much money for them and their homosexual friendly sponsors. When Phil Robertson was set-up, and I truly believe it was a set up by the magazine and they asked him his opinion on a few things he told them exactly what his views were concerning the word of the Bible. When GLADD and the rest of the radical left-wingers got wind of the interview they came after A&E and told the network to fire him. Instead of standing up for Robertson he was thrown under the bus, but only for a while, to make the radical homosexuals happy. A&E NEVER had any intention of going through with firing him. This was all show and tell. And if you don’t believe me watch how fast GLADD and the rest of the leftists now attack A&E and at the same time they will continue attacking anything to do with Duck Dynasty. It makes no difference to GLADD and the rest of the Christian haters. The travesty is A&E not standing up for Robertson when they had the chance and telling GLADD to go straight to hell. The minute the contract is up the entire cast of Duck Dynasty should tell A&E to take a hike and I think that’s what they do.
