......if I’m a professional burglar that can read, I would read that tens of millions of people are arming themselves (buying guns and ammos). Then, if by some miracle I had some logic too, I might deduce that “boy, more of these houses I’m bustin into have folks in them with a gun”. I better find another profession.
A professional 7 Eleven robber, or bank robber, might say “Whoa, I’m gonna run outta that bank and 100 citizens are gonna open fire on my ass”.
Back to me, I read somewhere recently that violent crime was down 30%. Damn right it is cuz there are fewer and fewer and fewer gun free zones and unarmed people. I bought an AR 15 last week! The clerk at the small gun store said they sell twelve a day.
So, there is no question in my mind that more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens reduces crime across the board and makes the world a safer place for the cops.
GA has has shall-issue concealed carry for a long time, before FL, long before TX, to point out two states often used as examples of citizen firearms use.
Approximately 5% of the adult population of GA has a CCW license. That’s a HUGE number.
