I’ll bet it was on the way out here to Anacortes WA. We get one of these trains daily (100 cars) and about a mile long. Originally Tesoro was supposed to refine the oil, but it produced too high pressures in the cracking unit and is therefore exported by ship to other refineries now. (No idea where, but it is loaded on supertankers.)
So yes, Buffett has the market on rail shipping to our “friends” somewhere on the Pacific. China would be my guess.
