I could be part of your .22 problem.

Your best bet for the ought-six is milsurp, look for the M2 ball ammo that is spec'ed for the Garand rifle. JG Sales has some of the South Korean surplus stuff in now. Most rifles with that chambering can use the M2 ammo.

I'm not sure about the .22 stuff now - supply is still sporadic at the retail stores.

Dang! Get thee to www.midwayusa.com. 15 brands of 30-06 in stock as of today, but it’s expensive. And, as for .22, it’s a myth. Stuff doesn’t exist. Make. Every. Shot. Count.

30-06 rounds where I am are $3.00 a pop and 22 rounds have been MIA for some time. Maybe you should consider a 17 cal seems to be plenty of that on the shelves. A gun with no ammo is just a club. Shot gun ammo in the light loads are plentiful and still cheap, and can be modified. YouTube has plenty of helpful videos. 223 ammo is now back on shelves, and a Ruger Mini 14 is a non threatening assault rifle.

You should have gotten more than two front teeth for Christmas.

Should have bought .22 a year and a half ago. Plenty of the folks here were recommending it.
There - as you know - used to be all kinds of threads about ammo deals. I waited 3 months for 9mm during that whole sandy hook mess.
