I think "come from" and "origin" might be superflous when you're talking about a region that exists outside of space and time as we understand them. Without time or space, beginning or end, what's the point of asking about an origin?

Lemaitre's writings are freely available; maybe you can start there.

“A region that exists outside of space and time as we understand them.”

I get it now. Your talking about the Twighlight Zone. Forget Lamaitre. I’ll check out the writings of Rod Serling.

“Without Time or Space, Beginning or End, what’s the point of asking about an origin.”

SOMETHING from NOTHING. Got it. No Time. No Space. No Beginning. No End. No Origin.

WHY did it happen? What caused it?

Let me guess......I need to read Lemaitre. If YOU can’t answer some basic questions why are you so certain he’s right?

YES.

As a Christian I learned long ago that science is often used to deny The existence of God. If all a Christian believes could be proven scientifically why would we need faith at all? If science is “always asking” then your point is there is nothing really settled by science?

The origin of the universe is not a basic question, especially for someone who doesn’t seem to have a basic knowledge of general relativity.

God gave us brains and our senses to use them, not to ignore them. We should strive to know what is knowable, not refuse to ask questions. Faith is no substitute for knowledge when the issue is capable of being known. I’ll never stop asking questions and seeking knowledge. I will not accept “the Bible tells me so” where science and evidence tell me the contrary.

There are things that have no answer except an Omnipotent and Eternal God. I humble myself and except that. YOU can’t be certain and can’t answer some BASIC questions about the science you trust. You just think you are smarter than someone like me.

The questions you are asking are not basic, and largely non-cognitive. There are libraries of research dedicated to studying the origin of the universe, and even if the simple answer is "God did it", that doesn't really answer anything as far as how it happened.

That's why there's a difference between passionately inquisitive men like Lemaitre, who spent his life dedicated to science AND religion, and guys like you who use religion to be intentionally incurious.

Outside of the Bible telling you about God’s Salvation how do you know it’s true?

Either the Bible is true or it’s not. Science and human knowledge are not necessary to exercise Faith.

By your reasoning all the Miracles in the Bible need to be proven or discounted.

God is above our highest thoughts and imaginations. Only human arrogance and pride can explain the need of some to have everything “proven” to them before they accept it.

To each his own.

I am not religious and have zero interest in organized religion. My Faith and belief is in a Person. I follow Him. Organized Religions are the creation of men and do not appeal to me.

Scientific haughtiness is tedious, boring, and useless. You won’t answer my questions because you can’t. My questions ARE valid and basic. Because you don’t know the answers you label my questions as invalid. I am being curious and you call me “intentionally incurious”.

You come off like Al Gore. He also abels and denigrates questioners as “deniers”. He is certain of his science and dismisses anyone who doesn’t see things his way.

Or a moose.

Mind you, moose bites can be nasty.
