I'm happy you do. I try too. I have the loveliest elderly neighbors who moved from NYC to Texas and they predictably brought their politics with them. It's pointless to talk politics with them - in their mind, they are more compassionate, less racist, etc. than you and me. And yet they lure me in just so they can explain their “wonderful” position. If I do tell them something logical (conservative) they go silent and shrug. But they will never not vote D no matter how horrible the D candidate is.
