If they do make a move and the USA backs off then China gets its way altogether subject only to Japan’s reactions. If China thinks the US will not oppose it then China will grab the islands and the Sinicization of the Western Pacific will progress in earnest.
The Phillipines ran us out of Clark and Subic. Now they need us. Will they let us back in for free(no rent)? These countries despise us until they need us.
