One way to get more freedom and liberty is to “Downsize DC”.

Starboard is right. Of course, we want freedom and liberty, but “Downsize DC” sounds more practical and less nebulous for those we want to attract who are not already on our side.

Bigg Red: Thanks, and you’re right that we need to attract others to our side. Washington keeps growing relentlessly, at the expense of our labor and our freedom. I think a lot of people are sick and tired of big government and would be sympathetic to a movement to cut it down to size.

The timing is good for an event like this; the wind is at our backs. We’ve seen scandal after scandal and a string of abuses by an out-of-control administration over the past five years. Polls now clearly show that most people believe the country is going in the wrong direction. So we potentially have a lot of public sentiment leaning our way.

Whatever theme is ultimately chosen for this event it needs to convey action to achieve a certain outcome. Its not just going to be a feel good event.

I like Downsize DC... anyone have any good ideas for a logo and a bumper sticker that can go viral?
