My nephew killed himself with the stuff at the age of 26. A young guy down the street told me that the first time he tried heroin, it made him deathly sick.

The next morning, he couldn't wait to get more.

In my opinion, this isn't a problem that can be solved -- or even controlled -- by laws. Only parents can can teach a child to face his problems without resorting to drugs.

Now, some of those will try valiantly and still fail. But upbringing is the only answer.

Now, that was a war on drugs. Communism is not required, of course, but the tactics have been successful in several countries. In essence, everyone gets involved.
