Irony: Wendy Davis Lectures Greg Abbott About Struggling

In case you missed it yesterday, the personal story of late-term abortion heroine and Democratic Candidate for Texas Governor Wendy Davis has crumbled. Davis has repeatedly told the story of her struggle as a single mom who put herself through Harvard but it turns out, that story isn't true. An article published in The Dallas Morning News detailed the real situation of Davis' life. The details aren't pretty.

Davis was 21, not 19, when she was divorced. She lived only a few months in the family mobile home while separated from her husband before moving into an apartment with her daughter.

A single mother working two jobs, she met Jeff Davis, a lawyer 13 years older than her, married him and had a second daughter. He paid for her last two years at Texas Christian University and her time at Harvard Law School, and kept their two daughters while she was in Boston. When they divorced in 2005, he was granted parental custody, and the girls stayed with him. Wendy Davis was directed to pay child support.

Jeff Davis said that was right around the time the final payment on their Harvard Law School loan was due. “It was ironic,” he said. “I made the last payment, and it was the next day she left.”

Not surprisingly in an effort to take attention away from herself and her lies, Davis is now blaming her Republican opponent, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, for "attacks" on her life and lectured last night on Twitter about the "struggles" Abbott just doesn't understand.

Two days ago, Abbott and his campaign sunk to a new low, making personal attacks on my family, my education, and my character. (1/4) — Wendy Davis (@WendyDavisTexas) January 20, 2014

Attacks won't work. Mine is the story of millions of Texas women who know the strength it takes when you're young, alone and a mother. (2/4) — Wendy Davis (@WendyDavisTexas) January 20, 2014

These attacks show that Greg Abbott's completely out of touch with the struggles that I faced and so many Texans face. (3/4) — Wendy Davis (@WendyDavisTexas) January 20, 2014

Like so many Texans, I'm proud of where I came from and proud of what I've been able to achieve through hard work and perseverance. (4/4) — Wendy Davis (@WendyDavisTexas) January 20, 2014

Abbott has been in a wheel chair since he was 26-years-old after a tree fell on him while running and paralyzed him from the waist down.

Unlike Davis, Abbott has never asked for pity or to be treated differently.

It was ironic,” he said. “I made the last payment, and it was the next day she left.”

Ironic means something something is contrary to what the expected or intended result is. I think the word you might want to use is not ironic, but expected or predictable. This gold digger was going to use you to get where she wanted to go from the start.

Anybody want to speculate why this war is being fought before the primary
is held. You’d think this type campaign rectoric would be happening during
the last two months before the general election in Nov.

Easy. If the candidate has no serious primary opposition and a wat chest, you define him before he can come up with his own version and make it stick. Expose the truth now, and it could drag down the whole ticket come Nov. She is also the type to refuse to drop out.

It was a well chosen word. It doesn't make him a bad guy, but gets the point across.

Look up Lena Guerrero.

The Texas Republicans KNEW she was a fraud in the primary when she was Anne Richards’ darling girl. They waited until about 1 month before the election to spring that trap after Anne Richards’ called her the smartest woman in the State.

The Demonrats may want to get this out there now so people can get over it, or they may want to get Wendy Davis off the ballot because they know she cannot win.

When a whore picks up the cash and walks out the door, it is not “irony”.

Don't be so sure.

The Republican War on Women™ has never failed, wherever it has been deployed in an election.

Wendy Davis is a brave pioneer, scouting out how far the Big Lie can be extended.

She may surprise you.

***********

My personal opinion agrees with that part of your statement.

From another article which helps substantiate that position.

When challenged by Politico to detail Abbott’s alleged attacks, a spokeswoman
for Davis responded, “We’ve had reporters independently verify these attacks
are coming from Greg Abbott’s campaign.”

But Morning News political reporter Wayne Slater, who wrote the story, said via
Twitter Sunday that he had spoken to “zero” Abbot people while researching
his story.

A spokesman for Abbott, however, did slam Davis’s account of her life. Matt
Hirsch issued a statement Monday accusing the state senator of “systematically,
intentionally, and repeatedly” deceiving Texans for years about her background.

“Yet she expects voters to indulge her fanciful narrative,” he added.

Typical liberal. Create a fictional persona and make that the cornerstone of your campaign then recoil when your opponent reveals you for a phony.

If you’re going to ... embellish ... your credentials, it’s probably unwise to found your entire campaign on them. Unless you’re an unknown senator from Illinois, somebody is going to dig into those claims.

Then again, since all of Liberalism is based on lies, it’s not surprising that its champions are too.

I'll bet that Wendy can't even imagine what it would be like to "walk a mile" in Abbott's shoes (be paralyzed from the waist down while in her 20s). *cough*

Liberals lie, because it comes natural to them. They can’t help it.
