“The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers”. - (Act IV, Scene II). It was said by a bad guy who wanted chaos so that his evil boss could become king. Fact is, lawyers have a great deal of power and of course power corrupts. But without a regulated bar (insert drunken bar jokes here) non qualified and unregulated people would assume the roles of lawyers and have no one to check their behavior. The adversary system is terrible but like the jury system, balance of powers, and democracy, it’s better than all the alternatives.
Tell me that after you are the one that got ripped off!!!Lawyers have an inappropriate amount of power...some use it ethically some don’t...in most cases if they don’t you are just simply screwed. And your solution to your quandary ....”Hire another lawyer”!!!!
