The 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade should remind us of another very destructive ruling, by the same court, in the same term, that voided the bastardy laws of all 50 states. In Gomez v. Perez, the court ruled that unmarried fathers were equally liable for child support.
At one stroke, the court removed the man's most valuable marital promise - that he would care for all children born of his wife's body during their marriage - and therby created a situation where pledging your troth before God and jerking off into a turkey baster would have the same social value.
And just look at what has happened since then...
True. None of these problems are resolvable without a strong marriage culture. Sex, Marriage and Procreation all go to hell unless we have traditional understanding of what they are.
