(LETTERS ARE AT THE LINK)
This story just keeps getting better.
On Tuesday we shared a letter a young deaf fan wrote to Seahawks FB Derrick Coleman, who is also deaf.
This all comes after the inspiring ad about Coleman's life that went viral last week.
Coleman wrote a letter back to the deaf fan and her twin sister and shared it Wednesday on Twitter. Is it great? Yup:

I’m liking Derrick Coleman more each day and especially since Juan MeCain opened his big mouth!
What did McCain say?
McCain was referring to Sherman not Derrick Coleman.
McCain said he would probably be rooting for Denver because he didn't like that "loudmouth" from Seattle.
..get a laugh, read the last paragraph.
My bad, multi-tasking.
Great story. Thanks.
Now all we need to do is have the D-Backs beat the crap out of the Dodgers every time we play them, McCain said. I will never forget them jumping in that swimming pool. Im telling you, I dont hold a grudge against old political opponents, but I hold a grudge for the Dodgers jumping into that swimming pool.
++++++++++++++++
And there is the problem. Jumping into a swimming pool is more important than the illegal invasion and Obama systematically destroying our country.
They had the family on Fox & Friends (remotely) yesterday or the day before to discuss. They had the family in studio on the curvey couch today - - darling family! The parents said they didn’t expect to get a letter from Derrick and thought it was awesome. Besides the twin girls (who IIRC are 9 and very well-spoken) they have a younger boy. They all said they were rooting for the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. Sports Authority sent 3 Seahawks jerseys for the kids.
Go Hawks! :-)
I agree I can’t stand the loudmouth from Arizona!
The Seahawk franchise should get that family to the Super Bowl.
Sherman-Crabtree beef started at a charity event
By John DeMarzo

Seahawks cornerback Richard Shermans game-sealing play in Sundays NFC Championship Game and his beef with 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree was months in the making.
On a Colin Kaepernick pass intended for Crabtree, Sherman leapt up and deflected the ball, which was hauled in by linebacker Malcolm Smith to seal the win and the Seahawks first trip to the Super Bowl since the 2005 season.
After the game, while being interviewed by FOXs Erin Andrews, Sherman launched into a verbal tirade against Crabtree.
Im the best corner in the game! he yelled. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, thats the result youre going to get. Dont you ever talk about me!
When asked whom he was referring to, Sherman responded, Crabtree! Dont you open your mouth about the best, or Ill shut it for you real quick. LOB [Legion of Boom]!
The interview went viral, and on Monday morning, Sherman explained his actions in a first-person piece published on Sports Illustrateds Monday Morning Quarterback website.
I ran over to Crabtree to shake his hand but he ignored me, he said. I patted him, stuck out my hand and said, Good game, good game. Thats when he shoved my face, and thats when I went off.
In the piece, Sherman made the case Crabtree is overrated As far as Crabtree being a top-20 NFL receiver, youd have a hard time making that argument to me then alluded to his contentious history with Crabtree.
It goes back to something he said to me this offseason in Arizona, but youd have to ask him about that, Sherman wrote. A lot of what I said to Andrews was adrenaline talking, and some of that was Crabtree. I just dont like him.
Shermans reference to last offseason in Arizona stems from an apparent dispute that took place at a charity event hosted by Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, according to a report in the Seattle Times.
At the event, Sherman tried to shake Crabtrees hand, and Crabtree responded by trying to start a fight. According to Shermans older brother, Branton, Richard Sherman said afterwards, Im going to make a play and embarrass him words that would prove to be prophetic.
Twitter blew up in the aftermath of the post-game interview, and Sherman defended himself.
I dont want to be a villain, because Im not a villainous person, he wrote. To those who would call me a thug or worse because I show passion on a football field dont judge a persons character by what they do between the lines. Judge a man by what he does off the field, what he does for his community, what he does for his family.
But people find it easy to take shots on Twitter, and to use racial slurs and bullying language far worse than what youll see from me. Its sad and somewhat unbelievable to me that the world is still this way, but it is. I can handle it.
Agree!!! They live in NJ, so wouldn’t have to travel far
i was totally on board with Sherman’s explanation: He has an captivating story growing up in Watts to a har dworking City of LA Sanitation Department father and equally hard working mother.
He seems smart and caring taking his brother on as his agent.
He’s an exceptional cornerback and proved it many times over before the Crabtree play.....
..... until he drew and threw the race card saying “Thug is racial code for the N-word”.
We’re done here, Richard.
RLTW
Thanks for fleshing out the story for me a bit.
Duracell and/or the Seahawks did just that.
Heard on the radio coming home that the girls were on Good Morning America and Coleman walked in. I guess he put his hand out to shake her hand and she jumped up in his arms and gave him a big hug. He then told her that she and her family were going to the SB and I think I heard a tailgate party, too. Apparently she couldn’t believe it, then jumped up and hugged him again. I’m so happy the family gets to go; and, that Derrick took time out of his busy schedule to meet her personally (she really wanted to meet him).
Here’s the video of Derrick with the girls
That is just great. It deserves its own thread.
