Former Fox News analyst, Weekly Standard......but you know that. I guess I didn’t spell his name right, so you can resort to form and do your typical middle school girl snark. That’s all you have, apparently. You are truly tiresome and intellectually bankrupt, as are most ideologues.

None other than Bill Krystal stated last week that the free trade agreements had not worked as well in practice as they had in theory. You “free trade uber alles” types are just as doctrinaire and out of touch as the leftists.

That is a great example of an inconvenient truth.

FedGov™'s primary source of revenue up to 1913 was tariffs. But that wasn't a "successful" time in US history...

You call those successful? It was nothing but strife. A threat of secession in the 1840s, people feeling picked on. Tariffs are the worst way to fund a government.

I would point to China, and question your assertion. China is among the most closed markets. They’ve taken a huge amount of American business. Bring it back.

China has almost no regulations on their factories. Somewhere between our high regulatory system and China's would be a good place to rebuild our manufacturing base.

You income tax loving progressive you. Who knew...

PS: This is a sight for Conservatives; not income tax lovers like you. Perhaps you could find somewhere else to preach your gloBUUList crapola.

Witness comment #2, here--the solution to avoid spending a trillion dollars on the Farm Bill? Raise taxes!

$1T farm bill deal could come Monday, House leaders say

Income tax good, progressive income tax bad.

LOL A lot of conservatives support a low flat income tax. Very few support raising taxes (tariffs).
