Detroit isn’t a terribly politically correct town.
Local (black) critics slammed the short lived show, Low Winter Sun for portraying Detroit as being a primarily white and middle eastern town. One critic even said the producers were trying too hard to play the PC game.
I tried to watch Low Winter Sun a few times. I love AMC fare like Breaking Bad and Walking Dead and really wanted to like LWS, but it was basically unwatchable. Slow, dreary, with lame characters and weak plot points. Gave up after three and a half episodes.
