More African-Americans are being squeezed out of the housing market.

Not only are they less likely to apply for a mortgage than any other ethnic group, but African-Americans are also 2.4 times more likely to get denied a mortgage than Whites, a recent study conducted by Zillow and the National Urban League found.

Sounds like the banking policy of Obama is hitting his own.

And they know this as well as we do.
They may or may not like the fact, or they may be totally indifferent to it and are just using it to twist reality for their own power.

So rather than playing the race card, one would think someone would do some analysis?

Were non-blacks with the exact same profile granted loans?

I don’t know. I was at the mall today and most of the black people I saw were dressed to the NINES. Maybe if they stopped walking around shopping all day, stopped carrying the finest bags and other designer clothing, started saving for down payments on a home maybe? I also notice they tend to drive REALLY nice cars and eat out a lot ...much nicer than and much more often than we do. My husband and I drive two 10+ year old vehicles. The third vehicle is a very cheap compact. We eat dinner out about once every other month. But we have a nice home in a nicer neighborhood. You can’t have it all.

Sometimes it takes the ability to delay gratification to save up for a home. It also helps to have a solid family arrangement .... how many single black women are going to pull that off on their own? Or a single black man? Neither my husband or I could pull it off without each other.

These people need to simply learn to marry, stay married, save, and do what everyone else does who manages to buy a home. Be STABLE and keep a job. A lot of them do, but more do not.

Articles like this are laying the groundwork for Round Two of another Fannie Mae debacle as we speak.

The “war” is on the traditional values of the country,
which you describe in your last paragraph.

They DON’T WANT to do those things, because those standards are “white” standards of behavior. And the left makes sure they don’t want to do those things - because those values are the left’s primary target.

When they can form lines around the block to buy $200 dollar sneakers, I’d say they need to handle their finances differently if they really want to own a home. But this is just getting the groundwork laid for another step in the great Redistributionist Scam. Hussein and “My People” Holder are going to be coming at the middle class from twenty different directions to pick our pockets and redistribute the money to “My People”.

Your idea would work, if the problem they wanted addressed was the one they actually stated. But that’s not the way leftists do things.

They don’t want the SAME criteria applied to everyone - they want MORE FAVORABLE criteria applied to non-white people.

They preach “equal” treatment, but what they really want is far from that.

Exactly. Almost every "solution" the left has implemented has been geared more towards hurting the productive white middle class than helping the black undertow. The black undertow doesn't seem to care if they stay at the bottom, as long as the former white middle class is forced to join them there. Now that's race-based hatred.

Grief! Not this $#!& again? Financial incompetence is an equal opportunity affliction. (Witness the Marxist Moron sullying the White House.) Seriously, you have to make sacrifices to have a house. This bit involves planning and understanding a house is far more than just a place to crash at night. It involves having an ownership mentality, not a renters mentality. My house is why I am driving a 14 1/2 year old car with 621K miles. It is also why my house will be paid off November 2014, one month after my 46th birthday. It’s all about priorities.
