Interesting that you think market futures are not driven by supply and demand.

Interesting you believe that they are.

Then why is there consistently so little difference in the price of the spot market, where payment and delivery are essentially immediate from the front month futures market?

It is easy to spout conspiracy theories and link to others thinking the same.

But the folks that actually buy the product directly for immediate delivery are paying the same prices, outside of other contracts negotiated for long term price and delivery security.

I agree absolutely. I also feel that all of those companies that mislead people with pre-buy contracts should be prosecuted for fraud but, that's quite a conversation in an of itself.

You also incidentally underscore a point Ive made elsewhere that there aren't isn't enough distributed refinery capacity in this country, the Keystone pipeline needs to be better thought out, and as its a matter of national security, this needs to be addressed immediately.

Did it EVER occur to you that you may be WRONG?

I didn't think so. You have the "rightness disease". You're always right and NEVER wrong.

I am always capable of being wrong. I even achomplish it on an all to regular basis.

But this isn’t about me. It is about a massive global commodity that produces, moves and consumes ~90 million barrels of oil every single day. Physical product, not just paper exchanges.
