DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - The daughters of Democratic candidate for Texas governor State Sen. Wendy Davis have written open letters to Texas voters in response questions about their mother’s past.
Davis’ daughters, Dru and Amber, wrote the letters to “set the record straight” and defend Davis from criticism she has received since published reports have challenged her life’s timeline of events. You can read the full text of the letters below.
Davis had publicly said she started working at 14 to help support her single mother and three siblings in Fort Worth, Texas. By 19, she was married and divorced with a child of her own and living in a mobile home. After community college, she graduated from college at Texas Christian University and with honors from Harvard Law School. She later returned to her home state and built a successful legal career before jumping into politics.
But the Dallas Morning News reported that Davis was 21 — not 19 as stated in her online Texas Senate biography —when her first marriage ended in divorce. Also, Davis and her daughter Amber lived only a few months in her family’s mobile home

She want’s to be Governor and hides behind her kids?
Yes, this is a big time backfire.
So now, Wendy Davis has stooped so low that she is drawing her daughters into this.
And this is all after she attacked Bristol Palin.
I remember when the left trashed Sarah Palin saying that she was using her children..I wonder if they will accuse Wendy Davis of the same thing..oh wait..I forgot, Liberals don’t hold themselves to the same standards
I’m smelling desperation in the air. Davis may be concerned about her future. Not her immediate future in the Texas governor’s race, which she’s very unlikely to win in November. But about her future as a rising political star. She’s frankly coming off as a manipulative opportunist that put family on the shelf while she got “hers”. One suspects this latest move is to ensure that she emerges in November with her image intact among the faithful.
Just speculation on my part, of course. Which is probably worth every penny you’re paying for it. :-)

Dru is a diminutive of Drusilla, which you would run into fairly often if you read books set before the WW2 period. Abortion Barbie isn’t illiterate, just evil.

So, if Abortion Barbie is such a brilliant lawyer and loving mother ... how is it that she lost custody of the two daughters in a state that is notorious for favoring the female in these types of cases?
Wendy still comes across as a devious gold-digger who will say and do just about anything to accomplish her personal goals. Could it be that the apple falls close to the tree with respect to her daughters ?
