CAMBRIDGE, Md. Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio will present his long-awaited principles for an immigration rewrite to the Republican Conference later Thursday.
GOP aides emphasize that it is a draft copy and members will be asked to make changes during a session focusing on the rewrite.
Roll Call was leaked an advance copy. Here they are:

Individuals Living Outside the Rule of Law
Our national and economic security depend on requiring people who are living and working here illegally to come forward and get right with the law. There will be no special path to citizenship for individuals who broke our nations immigration laws that would be unfair to those immigrants who have played by the rules and harmful to promoting the rule of law. Rather, these persons could live legally and without fear in the U.S., but only if they were willing to admit their culpability, pass rigorous background checks, pay significant fines and back taxes, develop proficiency in English and American civics, and be able to support themselves and their families (without access to public benefits). Criminal aliens, gang members, and sex offenders and those who do not meet the above requirements will not be eligible for this program. Finally, none of this can happen before specific enforcement triggers have been implemented to fulfill our promise to the American people that from here on, our immigration laws will indeed be enforced.

Idiots; they can’t trust the President, why not just skip immigration reform until we have another President!
Who’s John Boehner’s main primary opponent this year; I’d consider donating to that person.
What happens to the illegal aliens if they don't get right with the law? I'll sure they are shaking in their boots. If Uncle Scam won't enforce current law why should we believe that they will enforce any future law?
What's confusing? They get NOTHING. If they can't afford a ticket home, maybe those who enabled their stay in the US could be forced to pay for it.
I'm sick of the 'pubs who think the whole thing's a damn game, and the issues they were elected to support us on are no more than an inconvenience. And I'm really disgusted that the "conservatives" in the HOR couldn't get the 17 or so votes it would've taken to oust Boehner.
So, to paraphrase, it’s Reagan’s amnesty again, with the same Lucy vs. Charlie Brown placekicker promise of “No, no, this time we’ll enforce the border, just like we said we were going to last time but didn’t. Yes, sir.”
They are convinced we are idiots.
1. Enforce the border
2. Send them all back.
3. Let them apply for citizenship.
Anyone want to lay odds that on the day this crying idiot announces this policy the press somewhere will bury a story back on page D-43 about a drunk illegal alien killing some innocent person on a dark road in East Bumf*ck, AK?
There is ZERO representation for most people in DC right now. I’m more convinced than ever that a massive nuclear strike on DC would be less tragic than it would seem.
One survivor of such an attack might just be the Constitution (with the exception of the original copy, maybe).
I do not even believe Boner believes everything in his wish list. Sounds great. I don’t think he’ll fight for it. I just see a whole host of things for him to cave on.
Have no faith in this putz.
I’d contribute to the purchase of tickets, although I’d much rather have a coyote take them through Az. or Texas. Semper Fi
PS Cathy McMorris Rodgers is my Rep and has signed off on all the Dems wanted.
“pass rigorous background checks, pay significant fines and back taxes, develop proficiency in English and American civics, and be able to support themselves and their families (without access to public benefits).”
Well I guess all 11 of them can stay. :-)
100% Deportation. Anything else is Amnesty.
GOP just wants to lose 2014 and 2016
