I think Rush finally nailed it yesterday: the GOPe would rather lose huge, even risk destroying any hopes they have of getting power for the next 10 years, if they can in the process eliminate the Tea Party/conservative wing once and for all.

Exactly the opposite will happen, as it did to the Whigs: the more moderate of the two will die, and the side that is closer to the principles that the people want will survive.

I heard Rush say that, yesterday, too...and I agree with him 100%. I also agree with you, that they will not succeed.

They're putting $$ and power over country. CORPORATIST TRAITORS!
