What a shame. He was a fantastic actor. Loved him in Moneyball, A Late Quartet, Hunger Games, Pirate Radio, Charlie Wilson’s War, Mission Impossible III, Cold Mountain, Patch Adams, etc.
OH! I had forgotten about Moneyball. One of my favorite movies.
Also in The Big Lebowski.
Yep a great actor. What a shame. I think I read a few months ago that he cleaned himself up. He had a decade plus of sobriety when he made a lot of his best films.
I would execute all heroin dealers (dealing above minor amounts) and here is one more reason why. All those libertarian-liberal-libertine numbskulls who want legal marijuana? This will backfire too.
It's a pity he's gone, he could have been the next Jack Nicholson.
The only reason I watched that vomit-inducing,sanctimonious dreck is because of Bob Gunton, the actor who played the dean who was hell-bent on kicking Patch out of the school. He is simply wonderful. Wonderful and kind.
See him in “Guilt” with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams - he is soooo hood in that. RIP
