New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is going against the grain yet again.

The newly elected mayor says that he will not take part in this year’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade because organizers won’t allow participants to carry gay pride signs, CBS New York reports.

This is a good thing! We don't need someone like him at a Saint Patrick's Day parade. Maybe this activity can become more a Christian/Catholic tradition than what it has become...

Better just to have the Cardinal of the Archdiocese of New York as the key person...

Can I ask a stupid question?

The St. Patrick’s Day parade and events celebrate Irish culture and heritage. There’s drinking and other things going on too, which aren’t necessarily a celebration of Irish culture, but work with me here.

My stupid question is — why do we have to inject homosexuality into other unrelated activities? What does homosexuality have to do with an Irish celebration?

We have homosexual pride parade and homosexual oriented events, which celebrate that particular part of some people’s lives. Why is it that we are somehow compelled to bring homosexuality into unrelated events???

This is good. My question is why on Earth do we have to follow every move this idiot does? He is the Mayor for goodness sake. Heck we don’t even hear much from the Governor of New York. I never could understand the news interest of an individual city.

de Blasio is AFRAID to march in the St. Patrick’s Day parade because he knows he will be jeered.

It is not the Catholic Church that puts this on.

It is an Irish organization of some sort (I forget the name).

I guess they do not want the HomoSexualAgenda folks (Gay Pride -- we use HomoSexualAgenda as the Freeper keyword for this) as a part of it...

The mayor of New York attracts attention, perhaps because the national news media is headquartered in New York?

The organization that runs the parade is:

Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) (Irish: Ord Ársa na nÉireannach)

This joker is a laugh a minute..He is trying to get Obama mad..Since Obama is the one that does all these ignorant things it might not sit well with the King B.O..to have a peon come in and take over.

Just keep yourself and your queer wife home..Maybe you both hang that way and used a turkey baster to have those kids..

Because it's part of the queer agenda.
They've destroyed the Boy Scouts, infiltrated public schools plus several other aspects of society. A St. Pat's Day parade is a natural target.

Because homosexuality is like race for the Left. It trumps everything else and you'd better get with The Program, or else!

Homosexuals are the only people who define their humanity by how they behave in bed, in private. In order that they aren’t rightly embarrassed, it is imperative that you know what they do in private, while telling you in the next breath, “it’s none of your business what we do in private.”

Parade organizers said that gay rights activists can participate in the parade, but signage is forbidden since it detracts from the event’s focus on Irish heritage.

That's as simple as it gets. Suck it up, gays.

Because there are 8 million people who live there, millions more who commute in to work.

Sure we do. Cuomo is the other idiot who said there’s no place in NY for conservatives who are pro life or pro second amendment. The guy who was quoted as saying you don’t need 7 bullets to kill a deeeeeeeer. I crack up whenever Hannity plays that quote.

Here’s the problem, communist statists like these two were elected to state and national office. Elections have consequences and the public need to wake up. All those conservatives who stayed home last November, how’s that working out for you?
