His principles are clear. They will not change. Finish the job of getting rid of him. The sooner the better.

In the hours before Boehner made his surprise announcement, lawmakers and aides had told Breitbart News that early discussions had begun about whether to force a special leadership election in the event Boehner moved forward with immigration legislation.

“It’s going to require blood if this happens,” one GOP member said.

Maybe there is still hope for the GOP.

Fact: Boner is no more trustworthy than Obama

Fact: The law isn’t broken and in need of change. It is in need of enforcement by a legitimate head of the executive branch

Fact: “Reform” in DC is NEVER about fixing, fine tuning or improving something. It is a euphemistic smokescreen for violating the Constitution and paying off collaborators in crime.

The GOPe has made no secret of their intention to ram it through *after* the 2014 elections and after they have once more suckered us into voting for the lessor of two evils.

If they get the house and senate, we will be seeing a renewed push for amnesty within 3 months of the new congress taking office. Bet on it.

law & order types are OK w/ breaking the law when it agrees w/ their ideology

You make that statement as if it were common practice. I would like some examples.

It seems that Boehners trying to have his cake and eat it too.

He can’t get immigration reform passed, and if he could it wreck the GOP for the forseeable future.

But he doesn’t want Dems to have immigration as an exploitable issue to rile up their base.

So he difuses the issue by putting out “leadership principles” that will appease immigration activists but which the GOP rank and file have no obligation to support, then blames not trying to pass them on Obama’s solid track record of behaving in an untrustworthy and lawless manner. For which ample examples can be cited.

Honestly, either Boehner is one of the smartest political strategists out there, has one on his payroll that he’s listening to, or is the luckiest damn bast@rd in Washington for having stumbled and bumbled into what could turn out to be a decisive winning strategy on the topic ...

I’m thinking it’s probably the third scenario ...

That is what I am afraid of: “Gosh, we got the Senate. I guess the people gave us a ‘mandate’ for amnesty.”

The issue is NOT whether Obama would be a trustworthy partner in these negotiations.

He won’t.

The issue is whether the GOP leadership will stand up and do what is right - and that is no amnesty.

Chances are excellent that if the GOP does win the Senate, the candidates that make it happen will be solidly aligned with Tea Party principles.

I also think that the Tea Party has enough power in the House to pose a serious threat of rebellion if amnesty moves forward, like the Breitbart article said.

Like I said, this is either a very smart intentional, or very lucky unintentional, move that kills the issue dead while pinning the blame on Obama. And Obamas still going to be President after the elections this year.

This is all about getting the traitor rino’s through the elections. When those are over then he will go full speed ahead with all things liberal.

“...“There’s widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws. ...”

Wow... and just think... it only took Boehner SIX YEARS to figure that out...

Stunning brilliance on display... just stellar...

He’s so special, they put him on the Short Bus...

He has just said that because the President is derelict of duty and can’t be trusted to do his constitutional job of executing the laws, that Congress won’t pass laws that might be needed.

That sounds like a constitutional crisis to me.

The Prescription is primary the Rinos, replace them with

Tea Conservatives, and next year an expanded TEA caucus in the GOP house will elect a different Speaker.

All congressmen are up for re election this could be a sea change election. Dump Mitch and send a message that weakness is not option for the GOP.

How much longer before the lawlessness remains unchallenged?

Hi, AB. FWIW, it IS possible Boehner finally realized comprehensive immigration reform would crash their chances of another mid-term trouncing of Obama. Ditto with Mitch in the once "world's most deliberative body" HA ! Maybe more so the McConnell as there's more to lose in the Senate.

Anyway, Pubbies have been walking on egg shells so as not to do anything to jeopardize the November elections. This would've done it, John. And if you're delaying this until after primary elections are over and RINO's have been spared the immigration debate with TP challengers, forget it. Won't work. You have hit on it, and should run on it. Obama can not be trusted.

I aqree. There have been too many warning flags about the House and immigration games, all of them ending up being stink bombs. He’s just biding his time, waiting for the public to be distracted or dispirited.
