I'm not saying they have the right to push their sickness on anyone. I'm saying they have the right to campaign for laws to be changed. Let's also be honest that most of the nearly half the population that supports same-sex marriage in polls isn't gay. They can't be. They are straight men and women who sincerely believe it is moral and proper that gay men should be allowed to marry. It's not the job of the state to shut down and prevent these debate in public fora.

And how did that come about? It began when the door was cracked open just far enough to allow sex perverts to start portraying themselves as victims who deserve special "rights". From then on, the propaganda campaign kicked into gear, and now the brainwashing is practically complete. So much so that, tragically, adults with supposed functioning brains actually believe two men abusing one another's filthy anal area can be called "marriage."

I think you’re operating on a different level from the rest of us in that you view this strictly as a legal/constitutional matter and not a moral one. A government is reflective of a society’s values as it should be. Morality first, government second. Now, if there is a fundamental divide between people over gay rights as you suggest then we can go to war over it and the victor can secure the levers of power to settle the dispute once and for all.

But I don’t buy for a second this libertarian notion of government as being some sort of non-interested, agnostic, neutral arbiter in cultural disputes. Maybe it should, but pragmatically it is not. Government is force, and the question is who has the power and right now it is the other side.

So is government supposed to be a force for good? Or is it supposed to be like the monolith in 2001, just there blank and non-expressive?
