Morelia (Mexico) (AFP) - Vigilante militias that have fought a drug cartel in western Mexico for a year entered a key gang bastion on Saturday, manning checkpoints and helping federal forces find criminals.
The civilian self-defense forces had their eye on Apatzingan for months, saying it was the "crown jewel" of the Knights Templar gang and a vital trade hub for the region's lime and avocado farmers.
Vigilante leader Estanislao Beltran said that hundreds of his colleagues manned checkpoints outside the Michoacan state city of 120,000 to "check who goes in and out

This is the rub and the odds are they won’t. Kudos to them for having a true heart when it started.... but eventually “leaders” emerge who become as corrupted as those they replaced.

True the IRS being one of the most extreme, but they haven’t actually murdered anyone publicly YET!
And yet they will bleed just as easy. : )
You state the sad truth. I guess the cliche is true. “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” They start pure, and gain power which then corrupts. It seems to be the way of the world.
No, the IRS simply does it the most destructive way, under the guise of being lawful, behind the scenes to slowly bleed you of all that you have worked for, the most insidious method of destruction.
This is what a second amendment militia looks like. They fought the baddies, fought the federales, and now they are capturing the enemy's home base.
