"We were there to celebrate his ground-breaking voyage that in many ways is similar to those of Jackie Robinson and Rosa Parks," Ayanbadejo says after counseling Sam.
COLUMBIA, Miss., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- According to former NFL player and current Fox Sports analyst Brendon Ayanbadejo, Missouri defensive lineman Michael Sam is similar to trailblazers like Jackie Robinson and Rosa Parks after he publicly came out as gay prior to the upcoming NFL draft.
Before revealing his secret to the world, Sam was advised by Ayanbadejo, openly gay NBA player Jason Collins, Billy Bean, Wade Davis and Chris Kluwe during a dinner.

Another clueless “sports analyst” blowhard. I can’t stand listening to these bags of wind.
Who the hell is Brendon Ayanbadejo?
One of the hosts on my local sports talk station was predicting that the gay activist crowd is going to turn on Sam for not being activist enough to suit them.
He says that Sam is going to want to spend his time preparing for the NFL Combine and to try and make a roster. And since he is focusing on his career, he will
likely decline requests from gay activist groups to go out
and shill for their issues. Triggering the predictable hissy fits.
Would he have made that comparison if the apparent first “openly gay” NFL player was white?
My bible study teacher is black.
He had posted this response on his facebook regarding the comparison.

Between this, the ‘Redskins’ flap, Goodell’s general incompetence, the NFL’s overall embrace of everything PC and incompetent or corrupt officials turning games into WWE matches, I’m about ready to dump the NFL into the same circular file that the NBA went into 30 years ago.
Yeah, right. Sam’s desire for hairy male anuses should be put up there with civil rights heroes Jackie Robinson and Rosa Parks? America-2014 is one hell of a sick, screwed-up place.
Michael Sam = Rosa Parks? Uh, no. Sorry but no dice with that comparison. Two percent of the population should not be dictating policy to the rest of the country.

The FBI looked into accusations of point shaving but didn't find any evidence of that. It later came out that there were tensions on the team between the way coach Bob Toledo had treated the offensive players versus the defensive players and that the defensive players (of whom Ayanbadejo was the principle loud mouth) were upset as a result. I am convinced that Ayanbadejo and several of the other defensive players got together and plotted to throw the game in order to get back at Toledo. I know that sounds far-fetched but if you had seen the game, you would know that something very strange was going on with the UCLA defense during the game. At one point on tape, you can see Bob Toledo going up to the defensive coordinator and asking him what the hell is going on and the defensive coordinator looks at him and shrugs his shoulders and says he doesn't know.
;-)
An also-ran no-name who thinks he’s something?
