New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday Night
Rain and sleet likely before midnight, then freezing rain and sleet.
Low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Little or no ice accumulation expected.
New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday
Freezing rain. High near 32. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Wednesday Night
Snow and freezing rain likely, becoming all snow after 7pm.
Cloudy, with a low around 28. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
Chance of precipitation is 60%.
That is enough to close most schools and businesses for two days.

When I was in school...you HAD to either figure skate OR play hockey for “winter” phy ed...and yes., we had to use the OUTSIDE ice in the park.....Ahhhhhhhhh the good ole days ;-) I loved street hockey as a kid....with the overarching fear that when you were going flat out, you might hit a part of the road that was plowed down to the pavement, and then take a header!

When we lived in Chicago dad made a hockey rink EVERY winter in the empty lot next door. Imagine that! Gorebull Warming was just a gleam Owl Bore’s eye back then.

My dad was more inventive (or less inclined to work too hard ;-) LOL...He would put a few shovels on a sled...then we would go to the end of the street...walk over the dike....and shovel off the river.....BINGO BANGO...skating rink!
