Hostage was being kind. To call you a moron was unfair. You would need several promotions to be a moron.

What’s next? The GOP folding on immigration, minimum wage, gun control...what?

We should cut our own throats so our blood won’t soil their shoes.

Then they’ll like us. The GOPe goal is to be liked by the Democratic Party, right?

Hal Rogers was the only almost southerner in the group.

What difference does it make? For a lot of us, a lot.

So we have to cave on important things now so we can win control of the Senate in 2014? Then, we can cave on important things in both the Senate and House? If we won’t fight, having control of the the Senate or House is meaningless. Obama isn’t going to suddenly end his lawlessness and become interested in scaling back taxes, entitlements and the scope of government just because his party no longer has control of the Senate. He will double-down, refuse to negotiate, issue even more executive orders and regulation and continue to ignore or reinterpret laws he doesn’t like or wants to change. Republicans could hold more hearings, which the media will mostly ignore, if they had control of the Senate. They could also block Obama’s appointees, if they can control the RINO’s in our party, but that is mostly it. We would need a super majority to override Obama’s vetoes AND NOBODY THINKS THAT WILL HAPPEN. Even if we win the Senate, we will still have the same spineless GOP leaders. They will just have bigger offices. If our leaders really wanted to grow a pair and fight, they could do that now. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen and don’t have any different expectations if the GOP wins control of the Senate.

You are “spot on” my fellow American. Never again! I am done with the GOP RINO’s. No longer will they take my vote for granted ever again!

That’s said a lot yet every election cycle. Yet the lemmings still follow the RINOs off the cliff.

I gave some of your coffee to my unicorns. I took me and all 10 of my Leprechaun ranchhands 2 weeks to round them up and put them back in the barn.

That's okay.
We have figured out what the original test subjects have been up to.

Let’s pass amnesty, and get that off the table too.
This is the stupidest thing I have ever read on this site, and I have been here a long time.

No, he didn’t. I spent most of my career in banking and I can tell you the longer you delay responsible actions, the longer and harder the recovery. By passing the debt increase, we are simply throwing good money after bad. As much as I hate the thought of a tax increase, we need a national sales tax that affects everyone, especially those dependent on freebies from the government. The sales tax should be minimal, say 1%, but dedicated to debt reduction and with the requirement that government spending be cut 50 cents on the dollar for each sales tax dollar raised. There will be pain, but sometimes pain is necessary to correct a bad situation. By raising the debt limit without any cuts in spending, you simply rob every responsible person who has saved in their lifetime, sometimes even generations. And as our dollar continues to devalue, what have we gained?

In addition to a sounder fiscal policy, welfare reform is in order. Those physically able who are receiving welfare should be put to work, perhaps even a modern version of the CCC but with urban duties as well. Once they work for welfare and develop a work ethic, I’ll bet most will look for higher pay via legitimate employment.

Chae, you and I just don't possess the nuanced, complex, sophisticated mind that BB2000 is blessed with. “Lose your ass on every deal and make it up in volume”, is just a concept we cannot grasp.

Obama will never have any reason to leave.
Especially, if he can cause a collapse of the economy.
We have a Dictator.
World history anyone?
People have always willingly enslaved themselves for food.

I see your POV. Just two s:question: 1) How are Boehner’s position different from the House under Pelosie? 2) If I were a democrat sick and tired of my fellow dummycrats representing me, what actions has Boehner taken to motivate me to vote Republican in the past two months? (It sure as heck was not spitting on the TEA party these past few weeks.)

Yea, that is it... Boehner is planning to finally oppose obamas march to socialism, after just a few more tactical concessions.

This time it is going to be different?!?!

What planet are you on?

I think there is a better chance of getting 41 votes to filibuster Boehner’s amnesty bill in 2015.
