During a House panel hearing on asylum fraud, Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee warned her committee colleagues to “be prepared” for immigration protests.
“Let me just take note of the fact and in as calm a voice as I might do so … as I understand it before I came into the chambers there were persons expressing their First Amendment rights and obviously through the protocol of this committee were removed from the committee but they were expressing their consternation, their frustration, their hurt and their pain,” she said.
At the beginning of the hearing, pro-immigration reform protesters shouted, “Citizenship now! Families together!” at lawmakers in the chamber before they were escorted out of the hearing room. Reform Immigration FOR America and the Fair Immigration Reform Movement claimed credit for the disruption.
According to Lee, this summer, immigration reform activists will be out in droves to protest for immigration reform. The Texas congresswoman further compared the activists’ struggle to that of African-Americans during the 1960s.
“Fifty years ago when African Americans were experiencing that kind of pain, they engaged in something called Freedom Summer and it was to emphasize to the nation that we are in essence deserving of a fair plane and justice,” she said. “And so as a member of Congress I am committed to abiding by the law but I would expect that we will see thousands upon thousands of individuals from all backgrounds coming to this Congress in the summer and finally saying ‘enough is enough.’”
She continued, tying her argument to the topic of the hearing by saying that the protesters will be people who might have been granted asylum and “others expressing themselves’ for someone to listen.”(continued)

The United States government is under no obligation to protect or recognize the natural rights of citizens from other countries. The government is to protect its own citizens’ rights—that’s its primary duty.
Where is Ms. Lee’s concern about breaking up the families of bank robbers? They’re people too! Don’t break up families just because dad had to resort to desperate measures to feed his family. So what if momma drove the get away car? She’s just contributing what she can to the family income. It’s not fair to lock them up now...they’ve been here doing their jobs for the last 10 years.

If these foreigners disrupt our government proceedings then arrest and charge them as foreign agents. If they resist shoot the enemy in the head.
Where is her empathy for middle class citizen tax-payers who have become slaves of the government?
Where is her outrage for citizens of the US who cannot find full time jobs, yet are taxed to support every non-citizen immigrant who decides they want to come across our border? Now, our blood sucking government wants to allow “refugees” who have Islamist ties in here and the middle class slaves must pay for them also.
It’s revolting.....I could almost puke whenever I see Obama, Reid, Pelosi, McCain and the rest who have sold their souls to the devil to remain “in power.” This country has gone to hell....
It's been years now since the Government has been concerned about it's “own citizens”....we are simply a commodity and revenue source to assist them in achieving their Global Aspirations, which have nothing to do with us apart from the previously mentioned.
Anyone who believes that Government is "obligated" to it's Citizens is seeing through rose colored glasses. It's not about the Constitution or Laws of our nation...it''s all about the abuse of Power...period.

Since immigration Law is basically an “Anti Trespassing Law” should then all citizens be able to freely go onto ANY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT INSTALLATION????
Personally I wouldn’t mind taking a hike all they way into the so called “Area 51” base, I am sure other freepers would love to take a stroll down the hallways of Ft. Knox with pen an paper in hand to count all the gold bars that are probably not there...

Didn’t you get the memo doc? Even the useless Wall St. Journal just last Friday said they DON’T hurt American workers and we that want our borders protected are “anti-economic growth”.
