Doesn’t really matter what he’s found guilty of, it’s how much time will he actually spend behind bars. If he made the appropriate donations with that money, he’ll get a slap on the wrist. If not...

In a year or two when no one is paying attention the corrupt justice department will spring him.

A year or two?

I would say a week or two. The race card will be played, the guy will be out and elected or appointed to another government job in months.

Now the big question, will he be pardoned after the 2016 election ?

Bobby Jindal is going to pardon Ray Nagin? Why?

To which the obvious answer is: because buses need drivers, who’re hard to find when they’re scrambling to save their own lives. Would you like to volunteer?

Nagin’s an evil clown who’s justly going to jail for political corruption. This trial wasn’t about katrina, and shouldn’t be viewed through a filter of blind partisanship in defense of Dubya, who has vastly bigger screwups of his own to answer for.

As for those on this thread who’re celebrating prison as a venue for homosexual rape and torture: you people are disgusting. Shame on you.

Did anyone ask if they were underwater before they knew Katrina was going to hit?

Nagin’s headin’ for a new “chocolate city:” one surrounded by high walls and razor wire.

All this talk about pardons mystifies me. FR used to be smarter than this. Obama is never going to pardon Nagin. Why would he? Nagin never did anything for Obama, and there’s nothing in it for Obama. Racial solidarity? Please. Obama is only black when it’s convenient to put on a little jive. He’s a pansy muslim marxist, not a race hustler. Ray’s going away for a long time.

A Chocolate RAT.

When Nagin came out with that silly "chocolate city" characterization, there was actually a far-left comedian, who suspended their usual commie-PC traits, by calling him Mayor Ovaltine. I honestly can't recall who it was -- it could have been Conan O'Brien or perhaps even David Letterman.
