That’s a distinct possibility.
It’s strange they’re not clear on if he has a criminal record. I believe they’d know that before it went to a grand jury, they’re just not saying.

I had a feeling that it was a family member. I’ll bet that he got tired of waiting for them to die to get at their money and property. Assuming this guy is guilty, I have a feeling there will be a lot around like him -- a younger generation so desperate for cash they'll do anything to get it. Elder relatives will be targeted for inheritance.
This guy is the tip of the iceberg.
