Man who abducted, raped and murdered 9-year-old Miami-Dade boy died by lethal injection Wednesday night
A man was executed Wednesday night in Florida for the rape and murder of a 9-year-old boy in Miami-Dade County in 1995.
Juan Carlos Chavez, 46, was pronounced dead at 8:17 p.m. after a lethal injection at Florida State Prison in Starke, according to Gov. Rick Scott's office.
He was sentenced to death in 1998 in the gruesome murder of Jimmy Ryce.

Nineteen years ago, on Sept. 11, 1995, 26 year old Juan Carlos Chavez
kidnapped 9 year old Jimmy Ryce one block from his home in Redland, Florida,
ordering him at gunpoint into his truck. He drove him to his trailer,
where he sexually battered him and held him captive
for more than three and a half hours before he shot and killed the boy
when he tried to escape. Two days after the murder,
Chavez dismembered the boy’s body, filled three planters with his remains
and sealed the planters with concrete.
Jimmy’s remains were found three months later near the home of Chavez,
who confessed to the killing.
Chavez was was convicted of first-degree murder, and sexual battery
on a person less than 12 years old and armed kidnapping in 1998.
Chavez made no final statement in the death chamber,
but did submit a handwritten statement laced with religious references.
He moved his feet frequently after the injection began at 8:02 p.m.
but two minutes later stopped moving.
We have a “Jimmy Ryce Act” in Florida that provides for involuntary commitment after serving the criminal sentence - for treatment of child molesters.
The animal should have been killed 14 years ago.
The only way this should have taken 18 years is if the killer had been tortured all that time.

This case was so cut and dried...WHY did this vermin live another 19 years...
Lethal Injection.....not nearly painful enough. The scum got off easy.
