Obama: 'Going to Look Back' in 5 or 10 Years, Say ACA 'Was a Monumental Achievement'

(CNSNews.com) - President Obama told House Democrats on Friday that the health care law they passed without a single Republican vote in 2010 will prove itself -- five or ten years from now.

"And I just want to say, thank you for all of you hanging in there tough on an issue that I think 10 years from now, five years from now, we're going to look back and say this was a monumental achievement that could not have happened had it not been for this caucus."

House Democrats face midterm elections, not in five or ten years, but in November, and many are said to be nervous about the botched rollout of Obama's signature health care law.

Obama 2013: When this law goes into effect this year, Republicans are going to look silly.

Obama 2014: I think 10 years from now... we’re going to look back and say this was a monumental achievement

I think this is a golden opportunity.

We need to start referring to Obama as “The president who destroyed American socialism once and for all time.”

Just saying this should make leftists ulcers gurgle.

Unless it’s repealed, within 10 years Obamacare will bear little resemblance to whatever is in the ACA. Once the repeal window closes; the only acceptable political question will be: “how do we improve our health care system?”. No one will be asking about repeal. Hundreds of thousands of people will spend their careers trying to “improve” things.

While it’s impossible to predict the details; here’s my prediction about the main fix: more money. Much more money. An ever-increasing amount of money. Money to reduce premiums, money to reduce or eliminate deductibles and co-pays.

Other easy predictions: death panels, and many other forms of rationing.

Perhaps, but most monuments I have seen up close are covered in a layer of pigeon poop.

There are monuments to great kings and there are monuments to great massacres.

Just what prediction has this man made that has come true? Remember what was supposed to happen to unemployment if we passed the stimulus bill?

Covering “monuments” in poop is not an easy task! “Practice, practice, practice”, that is what I tell the young Bats.

ACA should be renamed CACA. Fitting for the act.

Enough of this scat talk!

It’s been an unmitigated disaster so far, and if it’s still the law in five years, it will be an even bigger unmitigated disaster.

If Apple rolled out a product as disastrous as Obamacare, they’d give up on consumer electronics altogether out of shame and sell shoes.

Mr. President, if the ACA is so great, why do you keep delaying it? Seriously, the one thing you and the GOP have in common is that you both want it delayed. That’s really the irony of your presidency in my opinion.

In fact, Mr. Obama, your presidency would have been much better served if the court struck down Obamacare as it should have. It also would have been better served if you didn’t play fast and loose with the rules and laws when you got the thing passed in the first place. If either one of those things would have happened, you could have played the martyr card...claiming you attempted to save the world, but the evil courts and or GOP stopped you. Instead, you’ve dealt yourself an inconvenient triumph....one that you can’t distance yourself from as it adds to the deficit, slows hiring, dooms the lower end of earners to a lifetime of dependency, and basically screws up the healthcare system for the 80% or so who were happy with it.

With all that said, you made a reform that I do like. For one, I never liked that folks don’t buy insurance...rather it’s part of a benefits package from work. Moving the system away from that paradigm isn’t a bad step. Unfortunately, you do all this social engineering crap too....make people buy stuff they don’t want, subsidize folks who mostly need a kick in the butt not a hand-out, and you squelch the free market (as all liberals do)in the name of fairness. Uhgggg!!!

Mr. President, you will be credited with taking the first step of reforming healthcare. It will, however; be considered a lame first step in the same way the Missouri Compromise of 1825 is now considered a lame first step towards ending slavery.

In fact, your one significant contribution to the presidency being black (which is the only thing the media and the liberals ever required from you) will also pale in the eye’s of history as other blacks, women, and minorities become president in your wake. They will most likely be held to a higher standard than you and this will therefore make them more effective presidents. In general, you’re success is short-term, short-lived, and short-sighted.....just like you. Now, go hit the golf course!!!

Lie of the year candidate for 2014.

Obama lied. Americans died. ACA, aka Obamacare/TOTALITARIANCARE, was the most evil piece of legislation ever FORCED on "free" people. Millions have been stripped of their wealth and millions have been unnecessarily terminated. That's the "lookback".

Oddly enough, in Bizzaro World, the ACA actually does make health care more affordable, provides more health care, and will be considered a monumental achievement! Here on Earth, however.... it will continue to be seen as a disaster of monumental proportion.
