Quick update: about a month ago, EREA filed for mediation related to contract settlement. We were notified by the bureau of mediation services that we have been assigned a mediator, and will have our first meeting on Jan. 28. Also, new EREA union-made shirts have been ordered for teachers, and should arrive soon. Good luck on the first day back tomorrow!

Being suspended may be the least of Reids problem. Lots of news coverage today, interview of the Sheriff who said District Attorney is reviewing the case and criminal charges are possible. Talks of a defamation suit.

The teacher had zero to do with any of this and yet students are now abusing and harassing her like she is the bad guy.

Poor woman, her reputation was indeed damaged.
