Minnesota cops sue NFL over gun ban

Minnesota's largest police group and police union are suing the NFL and the Vikings, claiming the league's new ban on off-duty cops carrying their guns to games is illegal.

The Minnesota law that allows businesses to bar weapons specifically exempts "active licensed" peace officers, and state law trumps NFL rules, the lawsuit says.

But the National Football League disagrees, saying the law doesn't apply to it. Although an NFL spokesman declined to comment on the suit, when police officials complained about the policy last fall, the league's security chief said a ticket to a game is a license that teams can revoke at will -- and being an armed off-duty cop is reason enough.

“Carrying a weapon is not acting. Acting is beh...never mind. I’m arguing with an idiot.”

There you go again. Now you are calling me an idiot. The ACT of carrying a gun is ACTING. You have a choice of whether to ACT that way or not. It is something you DO as opposed to something you ARE.

It is my prerogative to prescribe what can and what cannot be done on my property. You have no right to carry a gun on my property without my permission. You have no right to be on my property without my permission. If I invite the public to my property, I can still dictate what they may do and how they may ACT on my property. I cannot dictate the color of their skin. That is, in fact, illegal.

I can, and do carry weapons on my property. I do carry weapons on other peoples property if they don't ask me not to do so. If they ask me not to do so, I have the choice to leave the weapon at home or not visit their property. I would think a consistent conservative would support a property owners' right to control who does what on his property. God did not give you an inalienable right to enter my property armed if I object.

I understand the word perfectly. You are either displaying your ignorance, or your stubbornness. Either way, you are incorrect.

“Conduct, as you have rightfully defined, is behavior. Wearing an item is not behavioral. “

Putting a pistol in your pocket and carrying it on other people’s property certainly is behavior. Behavior is defined as observable activity in a human or animal. Since one can observe another carrying a weapon and carrying a weapon is an activity, it is, in fact, behavior.

“You have no right to carry a gun on my property without my permission.”

You have no right to invite me onto your property but then expect to check my pockets. Again, you claim rights to your property but then expect to violate the property rights of everyone else. Persons are the ultimate property for which you think you have a right to violate.

Liberal thinking: “I get to do what I want and you have to let me without regard to what you want.” “Rules for thee but not for me.”

In fact, I do. You don’t have to enter, but you had better live up to my conditions. You are a bad troll.

The NFL has a lot of power when you consider that their stadiums are built by taxpayers, they are a big business and they are associated with media, so there is an iron triangle of power consisting of politics, business and media.
