Given that they’d still need to be ratified by 38 states I think that is perhaps an overblown concern.
If we’re to the point that all but 12 States will spring for absolutely terrible [on their face] amendments then we’re already lost.

If it was a Constitutional Convention, that would be a legitimate fear.

That is not what is proposed. This is an Article V convention of states to propose and ratify amendments. Those amendments are set in stone before the convention is convened.

The problem is not the constitution, but the extra Constitutional power grab of the Fed Gov.

Exactly what this convention will address. If you have an alternative plan, I'd like to hear it.

So I disagree with the assertion that only bad could come of an amendments convention.

I absolutely agree with that, problem is it will never happen in the time we have left.

I stated before this man was ever elected, that if he was elected he would have no intention of leaving office. He may in fact leave, but his intention was to be king.

I correctly predicted that in the last election, none of the 11 GOP candidates that were contributing to the weekly turkey shoot would ever be President.

I correctly predicted that the Supreme Court would not overturn the ACA.

I correctly stated that;

We had a bloodless Coup d'état in 08, and no one noticed.

I have no great insider knowledge, it is just common sense, the opinion of the people no longer matters, period.

We have watched while the police and for that matter all the alphabet agencies of the government have been heavily armed with military equipment. For whom or against what are they armed?

We have watched as every President since Eisenhower has allowed the border between our country and Mexico to be open to any who want to cross it.

We have watched while the Military has been sexualized and sodomized, by Carter, Clinton and yes GW. Chaplains can now be disciplined for refusing to confirm that homosexual marriage is normal.

What do we do? We argue about which crook to put into office because he is the lesser of two evils.

We can come back from this, but it will take divine intervention in my estimation.
