TX Farm Bureau HAS Endorsed Cornyn. Call and voice your objection. (Vanity)

I heard, here on FR, yesterday that Farm Bureau had endorsed John Cornyn for Senator. I had it confirmed this morning. I called and left a message on the phone line to the office from which the endorsements come. I told them that I had 2 houses and 3 cars insured with Farm Bureau (which is the truth) and I did not appreciate my insurance premiums being used to help reelect one of the most Liberal Republicans in Washington, D.C., John Cornyn. I told them I would be cancelling my policies. You don't have to threaten to cancel your policies, but, if you want to call and give them an ear full on their answering machine, the number is: 254-751-2615

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: cornyn
I cannot tell you how pi**ed off I am.

Are you surprised? They endorsed George P. Bush. This is why I no longer give that $1 or two for Farm Bureau PAC. And I guarantee you that Farm Bureau is along with Chamber of Commerce all for amnesty. As I have been told my adult life about Republicans, I have now heard it said about the Tea Party, and that is that they aren’t really good for farmers. That thinking has kept rural areas on the democrat plantation for too long and now that they are dying off they want to keep us on the moderate plantation.

I dropped Farm Bureau here in Minnesota when they supported some Democrat POS representatives.

FDR innoculated the farmers, as LBJ did with the blacks, with a virulent strain of the gibsmedat virus. There appears to be no cure.

Tis true. Now the stakes are so large that you have huge business interests that want the gravy train to continue. I mean chemical and seed and equipment companies but huge farmers too. For instance, John Deere says they are only going to make a round bale cotton stripper after this year with price tag of $600,000 or about. It would be great to have one machine instead of two or three processes to harvest but few can begin to justify the expense. What are they thinking?

Farm Bureau is an insurance company and nothing more.
They might try to act as “spokesmen” for America's farmers but they clearly are not.

What is odd to me is Farm Bureau insurance is not a value for our family. I don’t know why anyone would insure with them when they can get much lower prices and dividends. I guess loyalty? We periodically try to work with them but they just don’t have the numbers.

We never check off the box for political contributions through Farm Bureau because of things like this stupid move. A lot of the FB officials are recycled Democrats who also support the mythical “conservative Democrats”, in order not to offend anyone.

the mythical “conservative Democrats”

Not mythical, they indeed did exist at one time.

Unfortunately, the last known member of species became extinct since Zell Miller retired from the Senate.

I rec’d a card in the mail from the NRA endorsing Cornyn also. I know they only focus on one issue. I think they endorsed Reid also and look where that got us.

JD is thinking of the corporate farmer not the individual. They know Agenda 21 is in the works and private property rights will disappear.
