In that scenario I definitely agree. However, I don’t think we should be afraid of that scenario. If we have 50,000 on the ground that’s a more potent force than 50 million + agitating from behind their keyboards and their plasma TV’s.

Furthermore even though the first act was not one of our time and choosing I don’t think we should necessarily shy away from it. At that point all pretense of civil discourse is over. Personally, I’m not one to be consumed with Reichstag fires and false flag ops or counterintelligence-like thinking. I’ll leave that to my betters. Let’s just not go all James Angleton about it.

We cannot allow ourselves to be paralyzed with fear by the propaganda war. Personally, I think its ludicrous how so much time and energy is spent (even here on FR) determining a spree shooter’s political affiliations in an effort to assign blame. That’s just asinine. Who are we trying to convince?

The same can be said for the media talking heads and some of our own commentary. We’re so consumed with correcting each other (i.e., “There. Fixed it” mentality) with minutate that the general point gets lost, “Oh if only so and so made this point instead of that one during the debate the voters would understand.” I don’t think so. The electorate doesn’t understand first principles to begin with, so we think using the soundbite and the zinger as weapons will suddenly enlighten the previously unenlightened. I don’t think so.

Great idea. The LA Times should follow suit. Especially their editorial cartoon section.

I agree. The masses of apathetic probably don’t share the principles. But they know winners when they see them. Put another way we all know so many “champ-chasers” when it comes to sports. Why should it be any different with politics?

IMO it’s not messaging that’s keeping them on the sidelines or not allied with our cause. It’s weakness.

Unfortunately,I think the author is CORRECT!The American Revolution began at least 15-years prior to shots being fired.Men like John Adams,James Madison were TOTALLY ALTRUISTIC!!They had NO interests in self-aggrandizement;they were for the birth of a nation where ALL it’s residents were free to go about their business in a LAWFUL MANNER without ANY fear of government!!!

Look at how many towns in America were named after the great revolutionary in France named Napoleon Bonaparte. He turned out to be not such a great revolutionary after all.

Right, Napoleon was the Opposite George Washington.

Washington could have crowned himself king and no one would have objected, and anyone who did would have been shouted down, but he didn't. And now he has reached Apotheoses.

Napoleon went the Caesar rout, Literally Crowned Himself Emperor, conquered a Whole Continent, A French Corps was bigger than anything George Washington ever commanded, has a whole Era of History Named after him.

Yet at the end of his Life he was Failure. Living in Exile in the middle of nowhere.

We need to somehow do this ourselves. Not joke about hiring people to do jobs we wont do.My health is bad,my wifes health is worse. But we could stay for a day and be relieved by someone else.We could send food and water to a supply line.We could help transport supplys. We could spare a few dollars to help in some way.
We see Ukraine doing it.
Have we lost our way so much that noone will even try?
Yes they will try something,we see that also in Ukraine.Do we have the courage as they do,to send more for every one that falls?
Many FReepers talk a big talk, about how they will stand with thier guns. Will they stand with fellow FReepers/Teaparty/Conservatives?
We stood for a day, what would happen if we stood for a month?@ months?3 months?Would the truckers join us in shutting everything down?Who else might join to counter those that would vilify us?
Or are we content to spout brave words behind the safety of our monitors?

I’m not shocked at all that the MSM wasn’t shocked.
The liberal progressive agenda is already living rent free in their heads and newsrooms. They have nothing to fear from an actual fascist goon from the government who thinks just like them.

This is how they implement the Fairness Doctrine and mitigate the likes of Fox News and conservative talk radio.
They don’t mind the federal goon in their newsroom so long as that goon’s mind speak is regulating our first amendment freedoms.

They never think ahead to the day when they are no longer in power, and their warped mentality no longer prevails should that day ever come.

Nice summary of the Fairness Doctrine right here on Free Republic:

It depends. Operation American Spring shows on its home page that one of its supporters is FR. If we can combine the two, and with Rolling Thunder coming on the 26 of May-—who knows?

My son tells me that at UAF, all the kids are libertarians. I sometimes wonder that with all our RINOs coming after TEA Party and voting with Dems; will the final cure be the youth & Libertarians? The final straw will happen sooner or later, it will be economic collapse or stock market crash. Then the people will be after them with pitchforks.

I agree with your observations.

However, propaganda comes from the media without the help of the political class.

1 month or 3, would create a field day for them. Can you imagine ?

Rich white, “Tea party” folks, protesting for their right to stay rich and keep America white, by denying the unfortunate access to government help.

With soo many disinterested and self-absorbed voters there is nothing we could do to change the narrative.

A Brave new world indeed.

Think about it. You bring up Rush Limbaugh in a conversation with a stranger at a bar that happens to be a liberal. It’s likely they have never listened to Rush, but they have been convinced that he is a crazy Right-wing racist. Ted Cruz ? Rand Paul ? Sarah Palin ?

The conservative message is shot down in an instant by the lefts ability to kill the messenger. It doesn’t matter to their leaders if they are spreading lies, what matters is that enough shallow voters accept what they are fed and are passionate enough to mobilize and vote.

Conservatives read books, we know and understand history while the low-info voters are more interested in what other people think about them. They are like a child that needs acceptance. Virtually every aspect of our society is being ruled by this fear, the fear of being labeled as “Judgmental”. They are OK with judging those that they can label judgmental and they don’t even recognize the hypocrisy. Because they have many friends among them doing the same.

I’ve said this on many threads.

“The left has embraced uncertainty.”

The P.C. culture that has dominated our society for well over 25 years has made it virtually impossible for a conservative message to be heard. Conservatives own truth, we believe there is truth, while the positions of the American leftist are fluid. We believe human nature is a constant, they believe human nature is a variable.

We stand on a solid foundation while they reject foundations and those that proclaim a foundation even exists.

Once again, they have embraced uncertainty and anybody that is certain, is their enemy.

Libertarians are of the left, how will social liberal youth make return America to it’s conservatism when they are spouting the social positions of the post 1960s left?

Social liberalism creates more liberal voters, it is the path to larger government and liberal economics, not conservative economics and limited government, haven’t we learned that over the last 50 years?

I like your "champ chasers" analogy. Someone like O'Keefe of Project Veritas should make a video documentary demonstrating just how miserable life in the ghetto is to demonstrate what losers such policies as "The War on Poverty", etc. are.

And I thought Libertarians were closer to Constitutionalists than the left. Sad reality is our own Repubs are dirty, can't be believed, and are going to ensure a Dem dominance out of their own greed for power.

Guess I trust Cruz more than our RINO Repubs who will vote with Dems everytime.

Libertarianism is of the left (and rinoism) because it embraces the left’s positions on so many issues, issues that lead to voters who vote for the left, and makes conservative economics and limited government, impossible.

Still spouting the same old lies, I see. When are you going to finally come out of the closet? Libertarians (SMALL “l” variety) by definition CANNOT be of the left. That’s YOUR Big “conservative” Government turf. Libertarians are SMALL TO ZERO government advocates, holding to max individual rights and max INDIVIDUAL RESPNSIBILITY! Yes, many (though hardly ALL) are attracted to cannabis and other such substances, but LIBERTARIANS also preach self-RESPONSIBILITY in such matters, unlike the self-responsibility-hating left and closet leftists such as your own ugly self (I speak here of the inner ugliness of the statist control freak, who is afraid to death of freedom, for that would mean he had to be held RESPONSIBLE for his decisions, right or wrong, which, admittedly, CAN be a daunting prospect to someone such as yourself, who is accustomed to receiving his “morality” in the form of government edicts. Instead of, for example, reading your Bible (or other holy writ) and, with your God, determining what TRUE morality is: something you voluntarily accept and do your best (with His Help) to live up to. Where others are impacted, you might look at a law regulating behavior which is CLEARLY harmful if done to another person. Or in public places. You treat others as YOU would be treated: AS A GROWN INDIVIDUAL, an ADULT who is capable of DECIDING FOR YOURSELF what personal habits are OK FOR YOU. In these United States, We the People are the final authority for government. Which, for you, poses a dilemma: you cannot rightly control your peers, for that opens the door for them to control YOU, both of which are anathema to a free society in a Constitutional Republic. So you, like obummer are ok with tearing up the Constitution, as long as it’s YOUR group in control. Nope, that doesn’t work for me. Not now, not ever.
