“So. Hillary Clinton, then. The next president of the United States?”

Humble ourselves. Seek His face. (Jesus - the government is upon His shoulders.) Seek His face. Turn from our wicked ways. He’ll hear us. He’ll forgive us. He’ll heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

ISAIAH 9:6 (The Message Bible)
For a child has been born—for us!
the gift of a son—for us!
He’ll take over
the running of the world.
His names will be: Amazing Counselor,
Strong God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Wholeness.
His ruling authority will grow,
and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.
He’ll rule from the historic David throne
over that promised kingdom.
He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing
and keep it going
With fair dealing and right living,
beginning now and lasting always.
The zeal of God-of-the-Angel-Armies

Humble ourselves. Seek His face.

Well, of course.. that's the only measure of hope this dying country has left.

The promise in Isaiah wasn’t made for us, it was made for Israel. This passage isn’t included in the New Covenant. God may very well lift His hand from the United States so that Israel becomes center stage once again. But there are some good personal applications for this passage.
