Obama is going to plead for amnesty.

In all honesty, I think Boehner will just tell him no. If he had the votes he’d pass it by now.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers: Amnesty Legislation 'Still a Possibility'

One of the top Republican leaders in the House believes it is still possible to pass immigration legislation this year. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), the House Republican Conference Chair, sounded more hopeful than other amnesty supporters in the House when speaking to her constituents in Washington state last week.

“I think immigration is still a possibility,” McMorris Rodgers said in Spokane, Washington. “There’s a recognition that we need to fix what is a broken immigration system."

McMorris Rodgers pushed for immigration reform in her response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address and also said that the issue should be a top priority for Republicans in an interview last year with Univision, the Spanish-language TV station.

He has the votes, the problem is they’re all Democrats. If he shoves this particular crap sandwich down with 28 GOP votes as he did the debt-ceiling vote, he’s looking at a full-scale revolt right now, never mind waiting until the next session.

He can be un-speakered at any time.
