Human Freedom. There is no human freedom in that part of the world. There hasnt been for centuries.
We cannot export liberty and freedom. I am all for protecting our own. But, they are on their own. I do not want to spend a nickel of our money, nor a single life, to give them something they are unwilling to stand up for themselves.
The Bush/Cheny doctrine believed both could be achieved. "Throngs greeting us as liberators in the streets". And we DID do exactly that in Europe during WWII. Ukraine has many periods in history when they were a free people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Ukraine
