Navy Veteran (To) CT Lawmakers on Gun Registration: ‘I’m Telling You Right Now, I Will Not Comply’
http://www.theblaze.com ^ | March 3, 2014 | Jason Howerton

Now that tens of thousands of gun owners in Connecticut are in direct violation of a hastily-passed gun control law, a video of a fed-up Navy veteran warning lawmakers that he “will not comply” with the law is just going viral. As previously reported by TheBlaze, as many as 100,000 gun owners technically became felons overnight because they chose not to register their semi-automatic rifles and/or high-capacity magazines.

A man, identified as John S. Cinque, reportedly appeared at a public meeting in North Haven, Conn., on April 22, 2013, to confront lawmakers over the gun control law.

Cinque started by asking if the bill would have done anything to prevent the tragic Sandy Hook shooting. Eventually, Connecticut State Rep. David Yaccarino (R) replied, “maybe not.”

“I’m a 30-year public servant, 20-year career fireman, OK? United States Navy veteran, upstanding citizen all my life, three children — and with the stroke of a pen from the ivory tower with the gold top, you’ve decided to create me to be a felon. A class D felony for doing absolutely nothing wrong.”

By the rude bridge that arched the flood
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard ‘round the world.

Publish the pols names and addresses, the names of their spouses. The names of their children and their spouses. The names and addresses of their siblings. The name and addresses their grandchildren. It would be a good start.

It’s time for Connecticut gun owners to put up a show of force

Almost time.

The state of CT issued letters to the 87% that did not comply. They did so before the SCOTUS has reviewed the issue.

Local word is that the state is about to issue a second set of letters offering some relief, but this is unusually slow in coming. Many suspect that the state is hoping for someone to make a scene.

No arrests have been made yet. Once that happens, it will get very interesting very quick.

Here’s a list of where all the gun-banning pols in CT live: http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/2014/03/04/#007297

Now things are more even - you know where gunowners live, and they know where you live. PHUCK YOU!

That plan works until some of those LEO’s stop coming home to the wife and kids.

Or the wife and kids end up missing, or dead.

That’s what the Russians failed to learn the first time around.

>>So how will this resolve?

They will try divide and conquer. Very low profile arrests - one here - one there, and no jail time. Just heavy fines.

Someone should bring to the attention of this gentleman, his fellow citizens, and cooperating officers of the court the following example of one authority on parliamentary procedure:

Robert’s Rules of Order [Parliamentary procedure]
Votes that are Null and Void even if Unanimous.
No motion is in order that conflicts with the laws of the nation, or state, or with the assembley’s constitution or by-laws, and if such motion is adopted, even by a unanimous vote, it is null and void....

Perhaps they would wish to see what application, if any, such parliamentary law could have upon their conflict.

Yup. They will use this to hang felonies around the neck of political enemies. But my guess is they make a terrible example of just a few picked targets, high profile, but people they have other kinds of dirt on. Sex, drugs, moral failure of religious types. Then everyone else caves.

From a comment at the Blaze.

“They’re not going to come for the guns just yet. First, they’ll pass legislation allowing them to fine you for non-compliance and then punish you by emptying your accounts until you cry “uncle”. Further, you’ll be unable to get a driver’s license or register a vehicle in your name. They’ll also work out a deal to snatch your tax refunds and part of your paycheck.

They’re well practiced in getting what they want and much more evil than you give them credit for.”

When it comes down to a choice to enforce the law or protect police pensions, the sound of cash will win everytime. Remember the 1992 LA riot battlecry: To your squads, coppers, and drive home.

Before the cops start acting like that,I would hope that they would pause and consider how vulnerable they become when a large segment of the population decides to start taking them out.

CT government loses that proposition. Weaver was a ~1:1 trade off, CT runs out of cops long before the resisters run out of bodies at that ratio.

Yes they will. Then we will see what happens. If they have a successful gun grab, it could embolden gun grabbers all over the country. Eventually, across the country, I do not see a peaceful solution to this, no matter how many months or years it will take. Thousands of patriots and gun grabbers could be killed.
