I'm guessing that the voters of TX did not find Cornyn all that "liberal" or all that RINO-ish, and instead probably think the battle ought to be against Dems. But I'm just guessing.
You should have heard the ads for cornball here in Texas. I don’t like cornball’s actions, but he had some really good ads running constantly. Made him sound conservative, likeable and very anti-obama.
I just wish the reality matched those ads.
Careful, that kind of rational thinking on a rant thread like this will get you labeled as a shill for the GOP-E. The truth is Cornyn has one of the most conservative voting records in the senate, but he has pissed a lot of us off with certain votes. He also broke Reagan's 11th commandment in the most egregious way possible when he harshly criticized his fellow republican from Texas for standing up against the democrats. That was why I voted against him on principle in the primary, but his overall record is why I will definitely vote AGAINST his democrat opponent in the general election and try to ensure that the senate seat he is occupying stays in the GOP column.
Absolutely, you should have heard how tough he was on Obama in his ads.
