Why would I vote for someone that votes with Reid and subverts conservatives at every turn?

You see only black and white, I see that plus I see shades of gray. I detest cornyn but I will vote for him against the democrat.

I don't like Dan Patrick but I will vote for him in the run off against Dewhurst.

Even Reagan had Republicans who didn't like some of the things he did. I think Reagan was fantastic!

Cornyn’s cloture vote and weasel whip treachery is worse.

I won't vote for someone that votes with Reid, and against what I am working for.

They are like debt to build a business

Cornyn raised the debt limit.

What kind of business are you progressives trying to build?

Amazing how many people will cut their nose off to spite their face.

Ryan and his GOP buddies cut the noses off plenty of vets. Amazing that you don’t seem to have a problem now supporting them.

I see a GOP unwilling to be an engaged opposition party to rampaging Marxists. If we send them back unchastened they will happily cash their chamber of cronies checks and back stab main street Ryan-Murray style.

Interesting. According to all ratings from Conservative Groups in 2012, Cornyn is the 2nd most conservative member of the Senate...more conservative than Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and even Jim Demint.

Where is he “liberal”?

I’m saying that, in political election terms, a win of 20 percentage points over the entire field of challengers qualifies as a legitimate landslide

Surely you don’t seriously believe that all votes for other candidates were votes against Cornyn. Those other candidates had friends and supporters and issues that drew support. Happens in every election, and it’s really a good thing. Much of the Stockman vote probably was anti-Cornyn, because I can’t believe anyone would vote for him otherwise.

Cornyn is returning to the Senate. Look at the bright side for Texas: he votes with you way more than against you, and he has seniority and power, unlike an incoming freshman senator.

Instead of handwringing over Cornyn, we need to put our energy into derailing Wendy Davis. Best thing for Texas in the next few years will be a strong governor and attorney general to fight Washington.

Funding Obamacare, removing the debt limit, voting for amnesty. Little stuff like that.

No, he doesn't. He most often votes against what I want.

And the governor's race is BS. Texas has the weakest governor of all states, on purpose. There is no way Abbott loses that race.

And he won by less than 10% over the entire field of challengers.

It almost seems as if Stockman was put in the race by the Cornyn campaign.

Cornyn’s not liberal or progressive. He’s spinelss and ineffective.

“Amazing how many people will cut their nose off to spite their face.”

When the Stupid Party candidate is no better than the Evil Party candidate, how is that true?

The only way to make things better, it seems to me, is to have better candidates. How can we get better candidates if we keep letting the GOPe nominate reprobates?

Cornyn has one vote. One. In a Senate dominated by Democrats. He picks his battles.

I am strongly of the opinion that the opposition needs to lay low this year, avoid controversial issues and votes, and give the Democrats plenty of rope to hang themselves come November.

I am glad they delayed immigration debate and skipped a debt limit fight that they couldn’t win anyway. It’s much better to keep the spotlight on the Obamacare disaster and scandals like the IRS targeting, and let Obama’s incompetence dominate the news.

But that’s just how I would handle it. I’m a Reasonable, not a Republican, so I will just sit here and hope they don’t blow it.
