Wonder how long it will be before China calls in it’s markers.

I say not long.

If Obama does anything to really hurt Russia—Putin has many ways to react. Maybe a file will be dropped off to Hannity or Sarah Palin. Maybe Putin will give an interview with Bill OReily for his TV show? Maybe Putin will have his allies pull off a stunt of some sort—Iran moved on a US warship? All sorts of things can happen in the next few days.

Sanctions will hit Germany, Russia’s trading partner, the hardest. Expect the EEU to drag its feet on this one.

Hillary, Obama, and McCain are not holding good cards.

The Trotskyites at the Guardian are getting upset. They want to sit at sidewalk cafes, sip absinthe, twirl their pointy Leninist beards and watch the proletariat ants march off to tend the tofu fields.

Stick an icepick in their heads; they’re done.

I have mentioned this a couple times over th years and lost the link. If anyone remembers and has it, please speak up.

Not long after the matriculation when Obama began to get into the full swing of Marxism, there was an interview posted here on FR. Memory is fuzzy but it had to do with a former spook. The interview took place in France or Europe and it involved why the world powers that be would let this guy get away with the crap he was beginning.

The spook basically said that TPB were willing to roll with it until such time as he negatively impacted their long term prospects...something to that effect. He said that the likely outcome was Obama’s fall would be fast and furious, no pun intended..that the powers that be would simply marginalize him in what ever way needed and go on their merry way.

Now one could call BS or even that it’s simple logic. Whatever the case, it sure seems that this is playing out.

Mitch Potter, from the Washington Bureau, writes:

“Awakening to a fresh political bombshell — Crimea’s decision to hold a referendum on joining the Russian Federation in just 10 days — Western leaders spent the day chasing their diplomatic tails, with little to show by nightfall.”

LOL

Putin plays chess. 0bama and Kerry are the Hanson Brothers;

McGrath: I got a good deal on those boys. The scouts said they showed a lot of promise.

Reggie Dunlop: They brought their f*****’ TOYS with ‘em!

McGrath: Well, I’d rather have em playin with their toys than playin with themselves

Reggie Dunlop: They’re too dumb to play with themselves.

“Sanctions will hit Germany, Russia’s trading partner, the hardest. Expect the EEU to drag its feet on this one”

Ukraine will be hit first.
Ukraine hasn’t made its February fuel payment and owes Russia $1.89 billion, according to gas export monopoly OAO Gazprom, which treathened to turn off the taps if debt not paid. “We can’t supply gas for free,” Gazprom Chief Executive Officer Alexey Miller said in the statement. “Either Ukraine pays off its debt and pays for current deliveries or there’s a risk of a return to the situation we saw at the start of 2009.”

No worries. Berry will give them a loan. Or just donate the cash. We got plenty.

I liked the image of western leaders "chasing their diplomatic tails". Really laughed out loud when I read the comment.
