plunged 650ft

Not much of a 'plunge' at altitude. Course change, depending on the amount of change might mean something.

I think the reports of the Americans on board mentioned one was an infant — not sure if that is where the 4 vs. 3 discrepancy comes up?

I honestly can’t see how a stolen passport is not ‘flagged’ in some way.

My Son-in-Law was (extremely rudely) removed from an Amtrak train at the Canadian border due to an over 7 year-old felony on his record (long story, basically he was a stupid teenager, but served his time and straightened himself out) — all they did was scan his passport with one of those little check-out gun type things. Within a couple of minutes, he was pulled out of the train, questioned and literally “dumped” back at the American side (along with my daughter, husband and I, but only after we insisted on being taken off as well).

And both passports stolen in Thailand, one from an Italian man last year and one from an Austrian man two years ago. One person with a stolen passport aboard, well OK. Two with passports both stolen from the same country is suspicious. Mass-murdering Muzzie terrorists passing as Europeans and penetrating possible lax airport security in Malaysia?

Many years ago, mine was “stolen” out of a diplomatic pouch in Russia. Yeah, figure that one out.

He lives in Thailand, where his passport was stolen.

Don’t tell anybody, but I meant Vietnam. Not Korea.

Problem is, I repeated it on several threads, and only recently realized the info I originally got as to the location of the airliner said North Vietnam not North Korea, so rather than change my claim and admit I’m an idiot, I’ll stick with being a conspiracy lunatic.

After all, I’m a member of the nutjob conspiracy club.

As I posted earlier:

Two Chinese-American anchor babies were on board. Two children, ages 2 and 4, listed as American. Parents of both used Chinese passports.
