One overriding truth about illegal immigration is that it is, and will always be, the single largest factor in depriving African-American teens & young adults of entry level employment in large urban areas.
In NYC right now the largest group now working in the hundreds of small & medium non-union construction firms (mostly off the books) are people in this country illegally.
Of all the self-destructive foolishness that black politicians and their guilt-ridden liberal pals engage in-none rips the economic heart out of black communities like supporting illegal immigration for strictly political motives.

No, it is LEGAL AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION that are destroying black teens in our urban areas. There are far more legal immigrants than illegal ones. Most of them are poor, unskilled, and uneducated.

Yes, all those nice kids at Starbucks would be competing with the tidal wave of illegals if they became legal. Starbucks would be knee-deep in lawsuits every time they hired someone who is not a newly “documented” illegal.

All these charming businesses who want the low-paid help would be screaming for mercy. Everyone wonders just how many there really are? We would find out quickly.
