U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday proposed Andrew Schapiro as the new ambassador to the Czech Republic.... Like the present ambassador to Prague, Norman Eisen, Schapiro stands close to Obama. They studied together at the Harvard University ....

The plot is depressingly familiar. Obama appoints another wealthy bundler to a plum diplomatic post. This nominee is a virtual carbon copy of the current ambassador in Prague. But look at the accompanying photo from the White House website. Obama as Christ, with a halo and his hand raised in benediction.
