They have no legal leg to stand on since the vote was not close enough...
They will sue for a recount...because several precincts had no votes at all...
Bonher, Rove, and the rest of the GOPe aren't happy either..
Jolly is a tea party type candidate
I assume this is an election for a vacancy — does Jolly have to re-run in November?
I live in the district and voted for Jolly, but I don’t view him as a tea party candidate at all. He’s much like Bill Young was - he’ll vote the right way most of the time, but he’s going to be pushing to bring back the pork instead of trimming the budget. He’ll vote to trim around the edges, but I don’t believe he’s going to be aggressive in that regard as a true tea party candidate would be. Certainly much better than Sink would be.
Rove had an op-ed in the WSJ today trying to take credit for it. Outside groups provided the money, you see, but the RNC and the Florida GOP provided the volunteers.
This hardly squares with what a Florida freeper said yesterday: that the GOP searched for candidates and they all said no. Probably because they knew how strong the tea party was.
If there's anything worse than "I told you so" it's "It was my idea all along."
