Too early for conspiracy theories

Take away conspiracy speculation and what's left on the internet?

Cute pictures of cats and porn. That's it.

FOX is running with it - at this point little more than speculation as to causality or casualties.

From under my tinfoil hat I’m speculating that because this was probably not a high value target for Jihad, perhaps Achmett was brewing up his offering to Muchmett and had a premature detonation.

I hope responders are going in with gieger counters; the compression charge for a nuclear device can be pretty substantial, and capable of a lot of destruction even if it does not sufficiently condense the core to critical mass.
That core is highly radioactive however, and would create a “dirty bomb” effect even if it didn’t go full Hiroshima on us.

Apparently the Boston Marathon Jihaddis made up their pressure cooker bombs in a similar apartment complex near the campus of the college they were attending or had attended on student visas.

Interesting coincidence that the scene seems close to Columbia U, isn’t it?

Is this area known to be a Muslim enclave by any chance?

Wouldn’t it be a shame if not only were hundreds if not thousands of innocent Kafir spared by such a PD, but the only casualties turn out to be disciples of the ROP?

I’m convinced that Islam is not done with NYC yet by any means, and will not stop planning and plotting for it’s total destruction until it is completely leveled and possibly uninhabitable due to radiation or WMD contamination for many years to come.

That could happen any day now.... and perhaps it just almost did.

One reporterette: We don’t think there is any sign of terrorism.

It’s NEVER too early for conspiracy theories!

Now don’t mess it up for us, eh? We’re having so much fun.

Since we’ve got our tinfoilhelm strapped on nice and snug we might as well keep going; we’re on a roll!

Domestic management who is monitoring FOX just said a small area is cordoned off and the building was being renovated. Contains a grocery store, so who really knows at this point?

I like the meth lab theory, but probably not if they had construction going on.

This could have been a gas explosion. Been a very cold winter.

For reasons unknown, meth is not much of an issue in the NYC area.

Probably because other drugs are widely available in NYC.

Either that or Charlie Rangel figured out how to expeditiously rid himself of incriminating evidence.

Many buildings being heated with natural gas now instead of oil. It’s much cheaper. I feel like it’s more dangerous, but I don’t know for sure.

Gas or boiler

Does Harlem use city-supplied steam for heat like some other areas of NYC?

Another possibility is manufacturing hash oil from marijuana. You can do it by injecting butane over a packed cylinder of pot clippings. We’ve been having houses blow up all over the state of Washington by people trying to do this. Believe it or not, the instructions on how to do it are on YouTube.

Yep, local shop-worker witnesses now saying they smelled gas before the explosion.

Would not surprise me. Gas is suposed to smell to warn folks, to get themselves and any animals OUT of the area like a rotting eggs.
